Featuring songs from Next to Normal, West Side Story, Mitsuko, Hoshino Gen (Japanese Pop Cover), The Last Five Years, Allegiance, KPOP, The Rocky Horror Show (RENT), Waitress, Dogfight, Hamilton (original Japanese lyrics by Gen), and Dear Evan Hansen. NOTES: An event with Toronto’s current musical theatre performers celebrating the music of Schônberg and Boublil, accompanied by a piano. The first act featured highlights from Miss Saigon. Cast features Ma-Anne Dionisio, Toronto’s original Kim, and Franc Anton Harwart, who played The Engineer in Los Angeles. NOTES: An event with Toronto’s current musical theatre performers celebrating Schônberg and Boubli’s two most celebrated works , accompanied by a piano. The second act featured highlights from Les Misérables. Cast features David Silvestri, Ramin Karimloo’s understudy for Valjean in Toronto, and Ma-Anne Dionisio, who played Éponine in the Third National Tour. For the finale (One Day More), they played an instrumental backing track rather than the piano, and the walls (!!!) lit up red, white and blue like the French flag. It was a really magical moment. There is about 4:45 of pre-show chatter present but the show is full and includes all of the ending applause.
